The Inspiration

Sculpture, The Madonna and Child

The Flowers

Florist’s inspiration: The art work that we selected is “The Madonna and Child” statue located in the main hall of the Anderson House. This is a medieval piece of art, with French or Spanish origin, that beautifully displays the Catholic Christian image of love of the Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus. Paintings and sculptures of the Christ Child and his mother Mary are large part of the Roman Catholic tradition. Viewing this sculpture invites reflection on the purity of love between a mother and child as well as Christ’s everlasting love for us all. We are honored to grace this artwork with a beautiful floral design. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful sculptured elements and ornate finishing touches, our floral art piece will display a presence of grandeur and delicacy.

Recipe: Our signature style is an asymmetrical design with unique dried florals and varying floral selections to add texture. Bright colors and large blooms keep the eye dancing around the floral design with delight. Floral highlights include roses, spray roses, ranunculus, tulips, stock, snapdragon, lilies, orchids and a host of textured greenery.

TreBella Events LLC is a planning and event floral design company located in a quaint town of Southern Maryland called “Loveville.” How cute is that?  It was destiny. Owner Shawn K. Somerville has a degree in Architectural Engineering and love to design and create. As a child, she always had a sketchbook nearby to draw anything!  After working in the wedding planning field and being surrounded by flowers, that love of design shifted to florals.  Shawn strives to provide high quality florals with unique twists on the design. Nothing brings her more joy than to walk the floral wholesaler floor; stumble across a quirky flower; and create something amazing with it!  There are so many colors and textures that come together in the world of design.  The possibilities are endless!!

As the Lead Designer, Shawn looks at every client as an opportunity to create a timeless design that is unique to their journey in life.  Whether it incorporates a specific accent, a unique color, or special flower, I am all for it! TreBella Events has a gifted staff who is dedicated to being professional and courteous. They have such a close rapport with top planners and vendors, affording TreBella Events the opportunity to work on a wide range of event types - weddings, galas, birthday parties, grand openings, bar and bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, social events, and charitable fundraisers.
