Dining Room Pantry
The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: Taking inspiration from the location of my installation (the pantry), where dishes would be finished before being served to guests in the adjoining dining room, I imagined a large floral piece designed directly on the floor of the room, giving the feeling that it has sprouted from the ground, up, and working with a variety of culinary herbs and botanicals providing a fragrant arrangement inspired by the kitchen.
Recipe: Eucalyptus, bay foliage, rosemary, thyme, mint, olive foliage, rice flower, allium flowers, wheat, chamomile flower, lavender , queen anne's lace, scabiosa, brassica, quince branches

Celia Laurent is the owner and designer for House of Jeanne Flowers, a floral studio with a focus on weddings, events and hospitality servicing the Washington D.C. area. Originally from South-West France, daughter of a painter and a father who grew garden roses as a hobby, Celia has a background in high end hospitality and special event management. In 2015, Celia started arranging floral decor for the restaurant she was managing which soon grew into a love affair with flowers.
Celia draws inspiration from nature and its movements, along with art, specifically color and composition. Her work is influenced by the garden and seasonal blooms, and she gravitates towards lush and flowing compositions.
House of Jeanne Flowers was recognized in 2023 and 2024 by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the “Top Florists” in the Washington, D.C. area for weddings and events.
