The Inspiration
This mid-eighteenth-century Imari porcelain punch bowl is decorated with bird and floral motifs, including butterflies, a phoenix, a dragon, and a gilded sixteen-petal chrysanthemum—the symbol of the Japanese imperial family.
The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: I was inspired by the theme of blooming flowers and butterflies flying from bloom to bloom and feeding on the sweet nectar from flowers. I loved incorporating blue flowers into the theme and complement the colors of the bowls.
Recipe: Bellalinda spray roses, Stella Guacamaya, blue carnations, chrysanthemum disbud and white germini pom
