The Inspiration
First floor choir stalls, made in Naples, Italy, 17th century
The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: The smooth time-worn patina of black walnut, beautifully carved, invites contemplation. This space invites the distant music of angels’ trumpets in praise of God, the honeyed scent of lighted beeswax candles, the susuruss of liturgical silks and brocades, and chanting voices raised in prayerful chorus.
Recipe: Antique hydrangea, contorted filbert, garden rose, calla lily, eucalyptus pods, ivy, sword fern, hellebore, eryngium, delphinium
