Kristen Maddux
Kristen Maddux is an enthusiastic amateur floral designer with a passion for creating beautiful arrangements and gifting them to bring joy to friends and family. Inspired by nature’s colors and textures, she enjoys experimenting with different blooms and styles, from composed mono-bloom arrangements to lush garden-style bouquets.
Kristen’s interest in floral design was sparked after seeing the stunning florals created by Jo Oliver, owner of Flower Guild 1820, for her wedding at Anderson House in 2014. Kristen’s dedication to the craft continues to grow under Jo’s mentorship and the guidance of the talented team at Helen Olivia Floral Design.
When she’s not dreaming of flowers, Kristen serves as Director of External Affairs Research at Altria, where she leads a research team in the design and implementation of opinion research programs that inform the policy advocacy efforts of Government Affairs, Corporate Citizenship, and Regulatory Affairs. Kristen is also a member of DC DAR’s Manor House Chapter, where she volunteers to promote the organization’s core values of patriotism, education, and historic preservation. She resides in Old Town Alexandria with her husband (and hero), Tommy.
