Musicians Balcony Buddha

The Flowers

Florist’s inspiration: Buddha transports me to my childhood of living in Vientiane, Laos where our home was nestled in the jungle. As a little girl, I spent many outings exploring temple sites with my parents. Buddha and monks were always present. Buddha, for me, has always been and is today a calming, grounding symbol of enlightenment. My most vivid recollection is that of monks in their orange robes. My palette of burnt orange, saffron, chartreuse, purple and gold tones reflects the intersection of traditional Buddhist colors. Incorporating saffron for illumination, orange for simplicity and detachment of materialism, and purple for spiritual awakening help me capture the essence of serenity and inner transformation. These Buddhist colors inspired my florals and embody the merging of earthly and spiritual realms.

Recipe: Fresh protea, orchids, allium, ranunculus, ginger, clematis intertwined with tropical foliage, dried elements and gold enhancements
