The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: The Key Room Baskets are a decorative reminder of the Beaux-Arts influence throughout the house. They act as an almost three dimensional but static Renaissance still life. Sculpted fruit and flowers add a sense of texture and depth, inviting the observer in for a closer look. These natural elements symbolize abundance, demonstrated wealth, harvest, and triumph. Through bold jewel tones, forms become dynamic, almost realistic. The surrounding three war murals emphasize another more serious still life element: the memento mori. By showing flowers in full bloom, one sees the brevity of nature, beauty, and life.
Living in Italy deepened my love for antiquity, the Renaissance, symbolic art and Art History. To be able to interpret a smaller scale but significant piece of art through a floral medium was truly an honor.
Recipe: Spring flowers and foliage from local flower farms and my own garden: anemone, tulips, ranunculus, poppy, spirea, strawflower, boxwood, moss, red twig dogwood, flowering branches, hellebore; and delphinium, larkspur, orchids, roses, protea, banksia, hydrangea, tillandsia, and eucalyptus.

Ai Fiori LLC is a woman-owned boutique floral design firm specializing in luxurious eye-catching arrangements. Italian for “to the flowers,” the concept “Ai Fiori” blossomed while owner, Annie Kelly, was sitting in the garden of her Capri hotel many years ago. Sipping wine with friends and surrounded by a plethora of wisteria, roses, and endless beauty, Annie thought one should always go to nature and be surrounded by flowers in order to find a sense of joy and an inner peace. Annie believed the best way to share this feeling was by creating floral arrangements for others.
Founded in late 2021, each Ai Fiori arrangement is designed in order to spark an emotional connection with its recipient. Seasonal blooms and foliage are first sourced from local farms and nature before they are thoughtfully and sustainably assembled.
Tori Del is a fine art wedding film photographer who caters to the Washington D.C., Montgomery County Maryland, Arlington County Virginia area as well as destination locations.
She cultivates the art of your love story through a fine art perspective and provides an experience not just for your wedding day but throughout your wedding journey.
