Choir Stalls

Little Acre Flowers

The Inspiration

First floor choir stalls, made in Naples, Italy, 17th century

The Flowers

Florist’s inspiration: Our design takes inspira- tion from the structure of the choir stalls and the lines seen in the decorative carvings, while creating intentional contrast with the dark walnut wood. We like to have fun with our flowers so we’ve opted for a bright, bold color palette featur- ing stems that float and twirl off of our core struc- ture, almost as if the carvings were to dance off of the choir stalls themselves. Everything used in our design has been sourced locally, resulting in a piece that reflects the season and honors sustain- able design methods, a principle of our philosophy.

Recipe: Snapdragons, delphinium, poppies, ranunculus, tulips, daffodils, blooming branches, sweet peas

Little Acre Flowers is DC’s only 100% locally sourcing florist, offering seasonal, artisanal arrangements for daily delivery around the greater Washington DC area. Founded in 2014 as an alternative to traditional floral arrangements, Little Acre offers designs that are more sustainable, seasonal, and fresh.

Known for their garden-inspired aesthetic, commitment to sustainability, and dedication to supporting the local community, Little Acre sources only from local growers who provide fresh and distinctive varietals throughout the year, allowing for arrangements that always reflect the season and feature only the highest quality and longest-lasting blooms.

Female-owned and led, Little Acre operates with a small staff out of their studio in the U Street Corridor.

Andie Ingagliato started her career as a fine art portrait photographer in 2008. Her passion for gorgeous imagery started with studies in classical music and theater which led to her receiving her BFA in photography and film from one of the top art programs in the nation: Virginia Commonwealth University.

Her wedding and portraiture work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, Washingtonian Weddings, The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings and acknowledged by fashion designers, including Draper James.

Her characteristic style combines romance and editorial perspective with authenticity. She is uniquely gifted with bringing a sense of finesse into everything she touches while making it seem completely effortless. After 15 years of capturing weddings and families during the most precious times of their lives, she can truly say that this is exactly where she is meant to be.

When she isn't photographing weddings, Andie enjoys the outdoors alongside her husband, Tony and daughter, Ava.
