Michelle Samson, MISA Floral

Michelle Samson

Michelle Samson is MISA Floral. Michelle is a multidisciplinary artist whose work in floral design explores the interrelationships amongst humans, architecture, fashion and botanicals. With heavy influence from fabrics and textures, she seeks to express such relationships by blurring the lines of floral arranging beyond traditional design work, utilizing concepts involving movement, form, shape, and sculpture within botanical installations, set design, and editorial work. Her goal is to work with every aspect of the flower and plant to demonstrate the beauty of life. The fleetingness of a flower’s life is at the root of Michelle’s work. Her work, including experimentation with performance art, has appeared in exhibitions and art shows such as at HOMME in Washington, D.C. She has also collaborated with other creatives, including working with two other local artists on the conceptualization of and production for the EXOTIC GOODS photography exhibition.
