Florist’s Interpretation

To see the  Buddha on the Musicians balcony was thought provoking. It was unexpected and that is exactly what I love about museums. You learn unexpected facts. With flowers I wanted to accentuate the  peaceful  presence of the Buddha.

Buddha Seated on Lotus

This Japanese gilt wood statue pictures a Buddha in a meditation position seated on a large lotus flower. The serene Buddha has tight curly hair, pierced elongated earlobes, and a circular mark (urna) on his forehead representing his great wisdom. Meiji period (1868-1912).
