Florist’s inspiration: I chose the Japanese Buddha sculpture in the outdoor garden as my inspiration for Art in Bloom 2023. I have an af- finity for buddhas and a deep reverence for Buddhism. After traveling to Tibet, Cambodia, Vietnam and China, the Buddha holds a very special place in my heart. Buddhist philosophy provides me with constant peace and med- itative contemplation. In Washington DC, our cherry blossom season is iconic! I wish to pay homage to their exquisite yet ephemeral beauty. This concept is true for flowers, beauty and life itself.
