Fleurelity - FIRST FLOOR WINTER GARDEN MURAL OF THE ITALIAN GARDEN AT WELD, BY CARL YENS, 1909
Photographed by Amiee Custis Photography
Florist’s inspiration: I’ve always been drawn to lush blooming gardens where one can truly experience the beauty of nature with its wide array of floral textures, colors, shapes and sizes of flowers, plants, bushes and trees. I take inspiration for my everyday flowering from blooming gardens and wild flower meadows and I strive to transfer the beauty I see and feel into my arrangements. The painting of the Italian Garden at Weld reminds me of my visits to Italy and endless strolls through the gar- dens of Lake Como and Lake Maggiore and I‘m thrilled I could create a flower center- piece inspired by this magnificent work of art.
Recipe: Roses, spray roses, ranunculus, tulips, stock, snapdragon, lilies, orchids, textured greenery.
