I was instantly inspired by a beautiful portrait of young Mrs Anderson, particularly with the drama of light and dark contrast in the painting.
Organic design elements in my floral piece creates a lush floral arrangement with soft, light color flower blooms and accent of black calla lilies, for the drama effect. Elegant blooms of garden roses, lush peonies, sweet peas, orchids, tulips and each ingredient bring a unique element to the mix that completes this lush design. Arranged in a rich gold pedestal urn, with flowy bottom piece, complements Mrs Anderson's one of a kind gown.

Mrs. Larz Anderson
This formal portrait of the hostess of Anderson House was completed in 1901—four years before this house was completed—when Isabel was twenty-four years old. Painted in oil on canvas, and in its original gilt wood frame, Isabel wears a white and cream, off-the-shoulder evening gown designed by Worth of Paris, with a three-tiered emerald brooch at her neckline. She stands in a drawing room at Weld, the Andersons’ house in Brookline, MA. A crystal ball on an ivory stand and a small dark-colored sculpture rest on the circular-top table in the foreground, both of which are on display today. The female artist, Cecilia Beaux, has other works in many major American museums.
