Florist’s inspiration: The depiction of Maria Foscari crossing the footbridge to her coronation in Venice inspired me to create a free-standing structure of beautiful colors from different flowers in full bloom representing the flow of water under the foot-

bridge over the canal. This is my own take of a modern twist on the traditional paint- ing. The grouping of colors transitioning from a bolder to a softer tone complement those used in the painting, with added lush floral backdrop made from a variety of creeping greenery.
