Florist’s inspiration: Inspired by The Abortive Attack on Fort Moultrie, I sought to create drama and beauty through floristry, collaborating with nature and working with the organic shape of the flowers. A complementary color palette and seasonal blooms speak to the juxtaposition of the burning ships with the tranquility of the water depicted in the painting.
